Joe Whyte

NYC Singer-songwriter Joe Whyte has steadily been building his success as a staple in the Americana scene.  Even dubbed, “The King of NYC Americana” by music blog Twangnation, Joe Whyte recently completed (and is giving away free) an EP entitled When the Day Breaks (http://www.whenthedaybreaks.com) which received 4 stars from Maverick magazine and is a follow-up to his 2007 critically acclaimed album Devil in the Details. This new album is a collection of songs that deal with everything from the typical theme of love & loss, to the Great Flood of 1927, to the plight of a soldier, to the story of a trucker who can’t seem to give up the road.

A family man and full time musician, Joe’s songs are deeply influential and live shows inspiring.  His song “Off to War” was just included in the National Folk Alliance Compilation disc.

Joe has plenty of stage experience having performed this past year before Alejandro Escovedo, Cadillac Sky in Hartford, Elis Paul, Jim Lauderdale, Rosanne Cash, Chuck Prophet, Rod Picott, and Justin Townes Earle.  He has also been accepted at the Maverick Festival in July.  Please keep him in consideration!  We are open to discuss upcoming dates.

Joe is currently endorsed by Elixir strings, and for the past 6 years, has been a recipient of an ASCAPlus award, a merit-based songwriting grant from ASCAP.
